Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I live outside of the USA and can’t register
A. Use this link to register with Paypal. Your login info will be mailed to your email address.
Q. What’s the price for UUU?
A. Courses at UUU come out to $15 per class, but with access to Aldrine during office hours & emails, along with many additional features, it’s actually much, much less.
Q. Does this mean the live lessons are not going to be free anymore?
A. Absolutely not, the weekly live lessons we do every Wednesday will continue to be free.
Q. What is the difference between UUU and what is offered on Ukulele Underground now?
A. UUU is a 10 week course that builds week upon week to an ultimate goal of your improvement. You will see results faster by enrolling in UUU than if you were to try and learn things from watching the free material. You will also, for the first time, have direct access to Aldrine to get your questions answered and make sure you are on the right path. You’ll not only learn techniques but Aldrine will be able to correct mistakes in your technique before they develop into bad habits.
Q. Do I have to pay for all 10 weeks in advance? Why is it the only option I see?
A. You can choose to either pay for the entire 10 week course in advance, or pay per lesson you are able to attend. However, paying in advance has it’s its benefits. You will be given access to office hours and the secret forum section for UUU students where you can discuss the course lessons with other students. You will also gain a special UUU badge in the forum so people will know you are a UUU student. These features are not available to those who choose to pay one at a time.
To pay for each lesson individually, just show up at the scheduled time for the lesson and you will be able to buy a ticket for that broadcast.
Q. I really want to attend but I can’t afford it.
A. UUU will have a scholarship program for students in the future. Unfortunately, this program is not available for this semester.
Q. What software do I need to watch the videos?
A. You will need either Windows Media player or Microsoft Silverlight installed on your computer before you can watch the lessons. If you are the PC, Windows Media player should already be installed. If you are on a mac, you will need either Microsoft Silverlight or Flip4Mac.
You can find this software here:
Q. When are the classes?
A. Each course will be available with classes on Saturdays, starting February 19th 2010. Office hours will be scheduled weekly as well. To see class times, see class pages.
Q. What if I miss a week? Are the classes going to be recorded for later viewing?
A. Yes, all classes will be recorded and archived for later viewing. However, only those enrolled in the full 10 week course will have access to these archives.
